Proposes an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, Article I, Section 2, to prohibit slavery or involuntary servitude as criminal punishment for a crime.

Removes the language "otherwise than as punishment for a crime of which the party has been convicted" from the constitutional provision on slavery and involuntary servitude.

Requires submission of the proposed amendment to Minnesota voters at the 2020 general election.

Presents the ballot question: "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to prohibit slavery or involuntary servitude as criminal punishment for a crime?"
