$6,750,000 appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District to design and construct engine generators as part of a combined heat and power system.

Engine generators will capture process heat and generate electricity for use at the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District wastewater treatment facilities.

Appropriation is conditioned on at least an equal amount ($6,750,000) being committed to the project from nonstate sources, with Public Facilities Authority loans counting toward the nonstate match requirement.

State bonds up to $6,750,000 authorized to be sold and issued by the Commissioner of Management and Budget to provide the appropriated funds.

Effective the day following final enactment.
