Amends Minnesota Statutes section 13.43, subdivision 2, to clarify what data constitutes the "status" of a complaint or charge against a peace officer.

Specifies that status includes whether a peace officer has been suspended with pay, suspended without pay, placed on administrative leave, or terminated or otherwise separated from employment with a right to appeal or elect arbitration.

Makes this clarification effective the day following final enactment and applies retroactively to personnel data on current and former peace officers created on or after January 1, 2020.

Establishes that the existence and status of complaints or charges against peace officers are public data regardless of whether the complaint resulted in disciplinary action.
