Commissioner of public safety convenes a 911 telecommunicator working group with representatives from 12 organizations including police, sheriffs, fire chiefs, EMS, county and city leagues, tribal dispatchers, and regional emergency communications boards.

Working group must submit a report by June 30, 2021 to legislative committees with jurisdiction over public safety policy and finance.

Report must recommend a statutory definition of 911 telecommunicators, minimum training and continuing education standards, certification standards, and funding options for mandated training.

Commissioner of public safety must convene the first meeting by November 1, 2020, at which members elect a chair; meetings may be conducted remotely.

Working group members serve without compensation and the group expires June 30, 2021.
