Requires the Minnesota Commissioner of Education to annually select at least 15 percent of school districts for curriculum audits to determine alignment with state math and language arts academic standards.

Prioritizes audits from districts or districts with schools identified for improvement, or those on the state plan adopted under the most recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.

Changes the commissioner's reporting requirement from discretionary ("shall") to mandatory ("must") for January 25 annual reports to education committees listing districts that failed to submit required reports or achieve performance goals.

Maintains existing provisions allowing the commissioner to require underperforming districts (identified over any consecutive three-year period) to use up to two percent of basic general education revenue for commissioner-specified improvement strategies over three school years.
