• Commissioner of public safety shall convene a 911 telecommunicator working group consisting of representatives from 12 organizations including police, sheriffs, fire chiefs, emergency medical services, county and city leagues, tribal dispatchers, and seven regional emergency communications boards.

• Working group must submit a report by June 30, 2021 to legislative committees with jurisdiction over public safety policy and finance with recommendations on statutory definition, minimum training and continuing education standards, and certification standards for 911 telecommunicators.

• Report must also include recommendations for funding options for mandated 911 telecommunicator training and other recommendations the working group deems appropriate.

• Commissioner of public safety must convene the first meeting by November 1, 2020, and appointments to the working group must be made by October 15, 2020.

• Working group members serve without compensation, may conduct meetings remotely, and the group expires June 30, 2021.
