School districts and charter schools must provide students with disabilities instruction and services according to their individualized education program regardless of instruction method (on-site, distance, or hybrid).

Schools must comply with all COVID-19 prevention guidelines from the Department of Health to the extent practicable when providing instruction and services.

Student families may choose distance instruction for their child at any time during the school year for the remainder of that semester.

Schools must offer a distance instruction model that meets the educational needs of all students whose families opt out of on-site or hybrid instruction.

This requirement applies only to the 2020-2021 school year.
