Amends Minnesota Statutes section 120B.125 to modify requirements for personal learning plans that school districts must help students develop by grade 9 to plan transitions to postsecondary education or employment.

Removes requirement that plans help students identify "personal learning styles" from subsection (3); retains requirements for identifying interests, aptitudes, and aspirations.

Maintains nine core components of personal learning plans including comprehensive college and career readiness preparation, academic rigor, goal-setting, access to education and career options, integration of academic and career-focused courses, counseling support, collaborative partnerships, and annual review and revision.

Clarifies that school districts may introduce students to various careers but cannot require any curriculum or activity obligating students to involuntarily select or pursue specific careers or job training.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
