HF 1564 Summary

• Amends Laws 2020, First Special Session chapter 7, section 1 to extend a waiver modifying background study requirements for human services programs issued under COVID-19 executive orders.

• Modifies subdivision 3 to allow non-extended waivers or modifications to remain in effect for no more than 60 days after the peacetime emergency expires for transition purposes only.

• Adds new subdivision 5 establishing a 180-day transition period for the CV23 modification regarding background study requirements issued under Executive Orders 20-11 and 20-12, including any amendments made before the emergency expires.

• Both amendments are effective the day following final enactment.
