Defines "male" as a person with one X chromosome and one Y chromosome for purposes of this legislation.

Prohibits male students from trying out for or participating on female-only athletic teams at educational institutions for participants age 12 and older or in 7th grade and above; violation is a petty misdemeanor.

Requires public school communal restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms, shower rooms, and similar facilities to be designated female-only or male-only; males using female-only facilities are guilty of a misdemeanor.

Applies similar restrictions to postsecondary institutions governed by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees, University of Minnesota Board of Regents, and eligible private postsecondary institutions in Minnesota.

All provisions become effective August 1, 2021, and apply to crimes committed on or after that date.
