Amends Minnesota Statutes section 471.59, subdivision 1 to add "historic preservation corps" to the definition of "governmental unit" for purposes of intergovernmental contracting.

Defines "historic preservation corps" as nonprofit corporations under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) that provide on-the-job training and workforce development to youth and young adults through repair and maintenance of historic structures, buildings, and sites.

Grants historic preservation corps the same rights and liabilities as governmental units under the intergovernmental cooperation statute, allowing them to enter into joint agreements with cities, counties, states, tribes, and other public entities.
