• Changes homestead application deadline from December 15 to December 31 for properties established after the assessment date to qualify for class 1 or class 2a classification.

• Modifies the deadline for veterans with disabilities to apply for homestead valuation exclusions from December 15 to December 31 of the first assessment year for which the exclusion is sought.

• Requires county assessors to publish notice by December 1 of each year informing the public of the December 31 homestead application deadline.

• Maintains the May 29 deadline for homestead classification of manufactured homes assessed as personal property.
