Transfers the child care assistance program (CCAP) fraud investigation unit from the Department of Human Services to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension within the Department of Public Safety by July 1, 2022.

Changes references in Minnesota Statutes chapter 245E from "Department of Human Services" and "Commissioner of Human Services" to "Department of Public Safety" and "Commissioner of Public Safety" for fraud investigation oversight.

Transfer includes all employees, books, accounts, documents, data, and property necessary for the CCAP fraud investigations unit to perform its duties under chapter 245E.

Directs the revisor of statutes to prepare legislation for the 2022 legislative session to implement additional statutory changes needed to complete the transfer of duties.

Sections 1-10 effective July 1, 2022; Sections 11-12 (transfer and revisor instruction) effective July 1, 2021.
