Establishes a civil cause of action allowing employees to sue their employer in district court for damages if the employer required immunization and the employee suffered serious illness or injury as a result.

Courts shall award actual damages plus reasonable attorney fees and costs to prevailing plaintiffs.

Applies to employees as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 181.950, subdivision 6, and includes unpaid interns or volunteers treated as employees under a vaccination mandate.

Takes effect the day following final enactment and applies retroactively to causes of action arising on or after January 1, 2021.
