Board of Dentistry must adopt rules establishing specific, detailed infection control requirements for dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and dental technicians.

New rules cannot require compliance with infection control recommendations, guidelines, or practices established by federal agencies, state agencies, or other organizations by reference to those entities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Minnesota Department of Health.

Board shall adopt rules using the expedited process under Minnesota Statutes section 14.389.

Minnesota Rules part 3100.6300, subpart 11 is repealed upon the effective date of the new infection control rules adopted by the Board.
