• Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 268.19, subdivision 1 to expand data sharing authority for unemployment insurance program data

• Authorizes local and state welfare agencies to receive unemployment insurance data for monitoring eligibility in assistance programs, employment or training programs, and cash assistance programs including SNAP, child care assistance, and medical programs under chapters 256, 256B, 256D, 256J, 256K, and 256L

• Permits data sharing to monitor and evaluate the statewide Minnesota family investment program, other cash assistance programs, SNAP, and SNAP Employment and Training program by providing data on recipients and former recipients

• Allows welfare agencies to use unemployment insurance data to identify employment, wages, and other information to assist in collecting overpayment debts in assistance programs

• Maintains confidentiality protections for unemployment insurance data, requiring it remain private data on individuals or nonpublic data not on individuals except as permitted by statute or district court order
