• Establishes new exception (clause 7) to the nursing home licensing moratorium in Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 144A.071, subdivision 4c

• Authorizes licensing and certification of 168 beds in an existing New Hope facility (which had 258 beds as of June 1, 2020) with required construction of an addition for private rooms, dining, activities, and support spaces

• Permits relocation of 54 beds from layaway status to a newly constructed facility in Corcoran

• Requires facilities covered by this exception to receive property rates calculated under chapter 256R upon completion of construction

• Treats projects approved under this subdivision equivalent to projects approved under subdivision 4a
