Board of Medical Practice must determine physician license applications within 30 days of finding application complete, and no later than 60 days from submission; applicants must be notified of deficiencies within 30 days if application is incomplete.

Board of Medical Practice shall issue nonrenewable temporary permits to respiratory therapist applicants if application is complete, all requirements met, applicant has no pending investigations, and nonrefundable fee is paid; permit valid until board meeting decision or 120 days, whichever comes first.

Nursing licensure applicants may submit applications during their final semester of study; Board of Nursing must process applications within 30 days of finding application complete and no later than 60 days from submission, mirroring physician application timelines.

Applicants may authorize written consent allowing board to release application status information to employers or potential employers; board must appoint application navigator to assist applicants and provide contact information on website.

Nursing temporary permit validity period extended from 60 days to 120 days for licensure by endorsement applicants; provisions effective January 1, 2023 for applications submitted, with respiratory therapist and nursing permit changes effective day following final enactment.
