Requires the commissioner of education to review current academic standards for relevance and rigor with stakeholder input

Commissioner must submit a report to legislative education policy committee chairs and ranking minority members by January 1, 2022

Report must summarize findings and include a recommendation on whether to modify the ten-year cycle for reviewing and revising standards

Effective date is the day following final enactment
