Increases the maximum hours per day that a neighboring licensed ambulance service can serve a primary service area from 12 hours to 24 hours under a mutual aid agreement.

Allows mutual aid agreements with licensed ambulance services from neighboring states, provided the out-of-state service remains in compliance with its home state licensing requirements.

Applies the expanded 24-hour provision only to ambulance services located outside metropolitan counties listed in Minnesota Statutes 473.121, subdivision 4, and outside the cities of Duluth, Mankato, Moorhead, Rochester, and St. Cloud.

Applies the expanded 24-hour provision only to ambulance services based in communities with populations of less than 2,500 persons.

Maintains existing requirement that all licensees have a written mutual aid agreement with at least one neighboring licensed ambulance service and keep copies on file.
