HF 3553 Summary

• Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 340A.410, subdivision 10, to modify temporary liquor license restrictions for municipalities.

• Increases the maximum number of four-day temporary licenses from three to four per organization or location within a 12-month period.

• Allows municipalities to issue more than one temporary license within any 30-day period during June, July, August, and September, notwithstanding the standard one-license-per-30-day restriction.

• Exempts municipalities with a population of 5,000 or fewer from the 30-day period restriction on temporary license issuance.

• Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
