Appropriates unspecified funding from the parks and trails fund in fiscal year 2023 to the commissioner of transportation for converting the Dan Patch rail corridor segment into a bikeway from downtown Savage to the Mississippi River Swing Bridge.

Bikeway project includes study, design, engineering, environmental analysis, right-of-way acquisition, and construction activities.

Appropriation may also be used to fund a study for extending the bikeway or trail toward Burnsville and Orchard Lake.

Commissioner of transportation may make grants to cities or counties to implement the project.

This is a one-time appropriation available until June 30, 2025.
