• Amends Minnesota Statutes section 256L.04, subdivision 10 to make undocumented noncitizens eligible for MinnesotaCare coverage.

• Defines an undocumented noncitizen as an individual residing in the United States without approval or acquiescence of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

• Maintains eligibility for citizens, nationals of the United States, and lawfully present noncitizens as previously established.

• Allows families and individuals ineligible for medical assistance due to immigration status to qualify for MinnesotaCare if income is at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines.

• Effective date is January 1, 2023.
