• Real estate appraisers may provide minimum damage acquisition reports for purposes of section 117.036 without being engaged in real estate appraisal activity or subject to appraiser regulations.

• Appraisers may submit applications for continuing education credit for synchronous (live/real-time) educational offerings approved in other states without prior Minnesota approval, if submitted by August 1 of the renewal year and within 30 days of course completion.

• The commissioner must grant the same number of continuing education credits as approved by the out-of-state regulatory authority and must process applications within 60 days; the commissioner may charge a fee for this service.

• Appraisal management companies must exclude assignments ordered by appraisal management companies when using academic studies to evidence reasonable and customary fees paid to appraisers.

• All sections become effective September 1, 2022.
