Commissioner of Human Services must submit annual dental utilization reports from March 15, 2022, through March 15, 2026, to legislative health and human services committees.

Initial report due March 15, 2022, must include dental visit percentages for adults and children ages 1-20 for calendar years 2017-2020, broken down by statewide, county, and fee-for-service versus managed care plan utilization.

Starting with the March 15, 2023 report and annually thereafter, commissioner must report the number of enrolled dentists by county and service delivery model, categorized by patient volume (1-9 patients, 10-100 patients, over 100 patients) and the number serving new medical assistance or MinnesotaCare enrollees.

The March 15, 2023 report must include dentist metrics for years 2017-2021, with subsequent reports covering the previous coverage year.

Reports must include descriptions of any corrective action plans required under existing dental provider regulations.
