Appropriates $600,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2023 to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Washington County Historical Society.

Funds are designated for capital improvements at the Washington County Heritage Center in Stillwater to enable proper storage of historical artifacts.

Eligible uses include facility remodeling, HVAC system replacement, roof replacement, exterior facility improvements, and purchase and installation of storage containers for historical artifacts.

Funds remain available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

This is a one-time appropriation effective the day following final enactment.
