Commissioner of Human Services must develop a plan by January 15, 2023, to streamline and minimize required paperwork for child protection cases.

Plan must be developed in partnership with counties and local social services agencies, and in consultation with Minnesota's Tribal governments and the Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council.

Plan must include a summary of proposed changes to current practice, a proposed implementation timeline, and procedures for soliciting ongoing input from counties, Tribes, and the Indian Child Welfare Advisory Council.

Procedures for ongoing input must incorporate stakeholder feedback into implementation and ensure improvements maximize benefits for children in placement, foster care providers, Tribes, counties, and private child placing agencies.
