• Increases payment rates for nonemergency medical transportation services by amending Minnesota Statutes 2021 Supplement, section 256B.0625, subdivision 17

• Raises base rates for unassisted transport from $11 to $17, assisted transport from $13 to $22, and lift-equipped/ramp transport from $18 to $31

• Increases mileage rates for unassisted transport from $1.30 to $2.38 per mile, assisted transport from $1.30 to $2.38 per mile, and lift-equipped/ramp transport from $1.55 to $2.65 per mile

• Maintains existing payment rates for client reimbursement ($0.22 per mile), volunteer transport (up to 100 percent of IRS business deduction), protected transport ($75 base rate and $2.40 per mile), and stretcher transport ($60 base rate and $2.40 per mile)

• Preserves rural and super rural area rate adjustments where base rates are increased by 111.3 percent in super rural areas and mileage rates are increased by 125 percent for trips of 17 miles or less in rural or super rural areas
