Appropriates $1,500,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2023 to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Board for a grant to Alexandria Technical and Community College.

Allocates $750,000 for technological needs including body cameras, fleet vehicles with automatic locators and light bars, de-escalation and force continuum simulators, tactical warehouse recording systems, and crime scene investigation equipment.

Allocates $500,000 for curriculum updates including in-service education, ARMER training, blended learning, military-to-law enforcement licensure programming, and creation of a full-time law enforcement director and peace officer education coordinator position focused on recruiting and retaining persons of color.

Allocates $250,000 for marketing and outreach including alumni recruitment efforts, summer explorer camps, military police marketing campaigns, and career transition activities.
