Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 122A.181, subdivision 5, regarding limitations on Tier 1 teacher licenses.

Tier 1 licenses remain limited to the specific content area and district or charter school indicated on the initial license application.

Removes the provision that stated Tier 1 licenses do not bring individuals within the definition of a teacher under section 179A.03, subdivision 18.

Retains existing restrictions that Tier 1 licenses do not qualify individuals as teachers under sections 122A.40, subdivision 1, or 122A.41, subdivision 1, clause (a).
