Prohibits setting or placing traps or snares on private property without written or verbal permission from the owner, occupant, or lessee.

Exempts property owned or occupied by the person setting the trap or snare from the permission requirement.

Does not apply to private property subject to a public access requirement.

Includes traps or snares placed or staked in water accessed from private property, which also require written or verbal permission.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 97B.001, by adding subdivision 9 governing trapping on private land.
