Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 152.01, subdivision 12a to modify the definition of "park zone" in the controlled substances law.

Expands the entities authorized to designate a public park to include federally recognized Indian Tribes, in addition to federal government, state, local units of government, park district boards, and park and recreation boards in first-class cities.

Maintains the park zone boundary as the area within 300 feet or one city block, whichever distance is greater, from the park boundary.

Becomes effective August 1, 2022, and applies to crimes committed on or after that date.
