H.F. No. 4690 - Greater Minnesota Transit Appropriation

• $10,000,000 one-time appropriation from the general fund to the commissioner of transportation for the public transit assistance program, available until June 30, 2025

• Funds available for fuel and vehicle cost increases, consultant costs for transit planning, construction of transit facilities, planning for county-to-county bus service and bus rapid transit lines, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, zero-emission and electric transit vehicles, transit technology improvements, and hiring bonuses

• Commissioner must allocate financial assistance awards by December 1, 2023, with recipients required to expend funds by December 31, 2024

• Recipients not required to commit nonstate matching funds exceeding five percent of the state appropriation amount
