Expands the definition of "criminal justice official" to include peace officers, prosecuting attorneys, judges, public defenders, criminal defense attorneys, and other persons employed by or in the same office as those officials.

Makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly make publicly available personal information (home address, directions to home, or photographs of a home) about a criminal justice official or their family or household member if it poses an imminent and serious threat to their safety and the person knows or should know of the threat.

Increases the offense to a gross misdemeanor if the victim suffers great bodily harm or death as a result of the violation.

Second or subsequent violations of the statute constitute a gross misdemeanor.

The law becomes effective August 1, 2022, and applies to crimes committed on or after that date.
