Commissioner of information technology services shall study unique IT service delivery, support, and project delivery challenges faced by small agencies including boards, commissions, councils, task forces, and authorities.

Study must assess whether current IT service structure provides adequate support for small agencies and volunteer board members, and examine how other states support their small agencies.

Commissioner may contract with professional and technical services vendors to conduct the study.

Commissioner shall submit findings and recommendations to the governor and chairs and ranking minority members of legislative committees with primary jurisdiction over state government by February 1, 2023.

$100,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of information technology services as a onetime appropriation to complete the study.
