• School districts may substitute a high school student's ACT English, reading, science, and math test scores for the state's high school mathematics, science, and language arts and reading assessments.

• The Minnesota Department of Education must determine the equivalence of ACT scale scores with Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment scale scores for reporting proficiency levels for state and federal accountability purposes.

• Students are not required to achieve a specified score or level of proficiency on any assessment to graduate from high school.

• Districts must pay college entrance exam fees one time for eligible free or reduced-price meal students in grades 11-12, and may administer either the ACT or SAT or both tests to comply with this requirement.
