Amends Minnesota Statutes section 308A.201, subdivision 12, to authorize rural electric cooperatives to provide broadband service using existing easements they own, hold, or use.

Existing easements do not limit the type, size, or amount of broadband infrastructure that may be deployed for broadband service.

Electric cooperatives are not required to obtain additional easements or pay additional compensation to property owners for existing easement agreements in order to provide broadband service.

Defines "broadband service" as any service providing advanced telecommunications capability and Internet access.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
