Staff members at licensed residential programs must be listed as authorized representatives of residents to use their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards for food purchases on behalf of residents.

Residential programs are required to maintain a log documenting all purchases made by staff using resident EBT cards.

Records of EBT card purchases must be retained according to Minnesota Statutes section 245A.041.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 245A.11 by adding subdivision 12 governing EBT card use by program staff.
