House resolution condemns the Chinese government's treatment of and human rights violations against the Uyghur population in Xinjiang, China.

Notes approximately 12 million Uyghurs, mostly practicing Muslims, face increasing surveillance and cultural suppression including mandatory facial recognition, cell phone checkpoints, cameras in homes and mosques, and imprisonment for teaching the Uyghur language.

States that as many as one million Uyghurs have been detained in "re-education" and forced work camps with reports of forced contraception and sterilization.

References U.S. sanctions imposed on Chinese regional officials and a security agency in July 2020 for their roles in Uyghur detentions.
