Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 43A.17, subdivision 9, which established a cap on political subdivision employee compensation at 110 percent of the governor's salary.

Amends section 473.606, subdivision 5, to remove the reference to the compensation limit, allowing a corporation to determine employee compensation without statutory restriction.

Removes the requirement for annual adjustment of compensation limits based on the Consumer Price Index.

Eliminates exceptions previously granted by the commissioner for positions requiring special expertise.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
