Medical assistance reimbursement rate for COVID-19 vaccine administration is set to the Medicare rate for health care professionals administering FDA-approved vaccines to medical assistance enrollees.

This reimbursement provision expires on the last day of the first quarter beginning at least one year after the federal public health emergency for COVID-19 ends.

Section becomes effective April 1, 2021 or upon federal approval, whichever is later.

Commissioner of management and budget shall review appropriations and transfers from Laws 2020, chapters 66, 70, 71, 74, and 81 to identify eligible coronavirus relief fund expenditures.

$203,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for COVID-19 vaccine administration payments, available until June 30, 2022.
