Amends Minnesota's data privacy law to exclude candidates selected for initial interviews for University of Minnesota president from the definition of "finalist," keeping their names private during initial interview stages.

Adds a new exception to the Open Meeting Law allowing the Board of Regents to meet in closed session to discuss candidates, conduct initial candidate interviews, and name finalists for the University of Minnesota president position.

Maintains public access to finalist names once the Board of Regents advances candidates to finalist status, while protecting candidate identities during the initial interview process.
