City of Mora may increase its Public Utilities Commission membership from the current size to five members, notwithstanding existing Minnesota Statutes sections 412.331 and 412.341.

No more than two of the five commission members may also serve as city council members.

Terms for the additional members must be staggered and established according to the bylaws governing the Public Utilities Commission.

The bill becomes effective the day after the city of Mora's governing body and chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota Statutes section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
