Appropriates $5,965,000 in fiscal year 2023 from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for capital improvements to the Harriet Tubman Center East building in Maplewood.

Funds are provided as a grant to Tubman, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for design, construction, renovation, furnishing, and equipment of the facility.

Appropriation covers accessibility improvements, partial roof replacement, electrical system improvements, and construction of a commercial kitchen.

Effective the day following final enactment.
