School employees in Minnesota school districts and charter schools who are members of the Public Employees Retirement Association, Teachers Retirement Association, or St. Paul Teachers Retirement Fund Association receive 24 months of service credit for every 12 months of actual service during 2020, 2021, and 2022.

This double-credit provision applies retroactively to service time during the three-year period from 2020 through 2022.

The provision takes effect the day following final enactment and overrides any conflicting state law.
