Amends Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 120A.41 to modify hours of instruction requirements for students in kindergarten through grade 12.

Maintains existing instruction hour requirements: 425 hours for kindergarten without disability, 935 hours for grades 1-6, 1,020 hours for grades 7-12, and 850 hours for all-day kindergarten.

Permits school boards to include up to five days of online instruction due to inclement weather as part of the school calendar, with plans developed according to section 120A.414.

Expands the definition of instruction hours for high school students to include all hours when a school board determines a student is actively engaged in the educational process and all relevant statutory requirements are met.

Takes effect for the 2022-2023 school year and later.
