Allows private detective employees to satisfy the 12-hour preassignment training requirement by providing a certificate from training completed with a different Minnesota licensee within the previous three calendar years or with a prior Minnesota employer.

Establishes that training certificates are the property of the employee who completed the training, regardless of who paid for it or how it was provided.

Requires current or former licensed employers to provide copies of training certificates to employees upon request and grants employees access rights under Minnesota Statutes sections 181.960 to 181.966.

Maintains existing requirements for board certification of training for firearms, weapons, and restraint techniques for license holders, qualified representatives, managers, partners, and employees.

Maintains the requirement of six hours annual certified continuing training for all private detective personnel, plus an additional six hours for armed individuals with annual certification.
