Appropriates $255,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2023 to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development for a study on the early childhood education workforce in Minnesota.

Study must provide consolidated data on the makeup of the early childhood education workforce, including wages, income, benefits, and barriers to entering or retaining workers in the field.

Study shall be completed within 18 months and the commissioner may contract with another organization to conduct the research.

Appropriation is one-time only and available until December 30, 2023.
