Appropriates $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 from the general fund to the commissioner of corrections for a grant to Ramsey County to award grants for violence prevention and community wellness programs.

Violence prevention grant recipients must create family support groups and resources for families with youth in out-of-home placement and provide support during post-placement reentry.

Violence prevention grant recipients must establish community-based respite options for conflict or crisis de-escalation to prevent incarceration or further systems involvement for families.

Violence prevention grant recipients must establish additional meaningful employment opportunities for systems-involved youth.
