Appropriates $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2023 from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Southern Anoka Community Assistance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Funds will support predesign, design, construction, engineering, furnishing, and equipping of a facility in Columbia Heights to provide food shelf services, grocery delivery for seniors and people with disabilities, and basic needs support.

Appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.

This is a one-time appropriation effective the day following final enactment.
